Can happiness build billion-dollar businesses?
It already has. Tony Hsieh (“Shay”) is the CEO of the spectacularly successful on-line shoe and clothing retailer, Zappos. Last year, its sales passed $1 billion, driven by a leader who relentlessly pursues very different business models and ‘happiness’ in his employees and customers.
Hsieh is a second-generation Taiwanese-American who graduated from Harvard in computer science. He’s young, brash but polite, funny, articulate, rich (very), and the author of what promises to be both a best-selling business book and personal guide.
So please join us at the next Ramsay Breakfast to hear Tony Hsieh talk about Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion and Purpose.
Believe me, this is a story worth getting up early to hear.
